আমাদের ইলিশ মাছগুলো মূলত চাঁদপুর বড়স্টেশন ও শয়ীয়াতপুরের সুরেশ্বর ঘাট থেকে এসে যা মূলত পদ্মার নদীর ইলিশ । পদ্মার ইলিশের কিছু Unique বৈশিষ্ঠ্য থাকে যা অন্য জায়গার ইলিশের পাওয়া যায় না । পদ্মার ইলিশের বৈশিষ্ঠ্য হলো -ঃ

• গোল আকৃতির হয়ে থাকে ।
• ঘাড় মোটা হয়ে থাকে ।
• উপরিভাগ রুপালী রং ধারণ কর...
• উপরের আঁইশ শক্ত হয়ে থাকে  ।

Our hilsa fish mainly come from Chandpur bar station and Sureshwar ghat in Shaiyatpur which is mainly hilsa from Padmar river. Hilsa from Padma has some unique properties which are not found in Hilsa from other places. The characteristics of Padma hilsa are:

• It is round in shape.
• The neck is thick.
• The surface has a silver color...
• The upper fibers are stiff.
